The California Desert: Photo Collection by Jesse Bluma at Pointe Viven

The California Desert

Spanish explorer and governor of New Mexico, Juan Bautista de Anza, traversed south through the Coachella Valley and Los Coyotes Canyon in search of a land during the late 1700s.  In 1963, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway was completed to take passengers from the lower elevation of the Coachella Valley to the top of San Jacinto Peak.  In 1992, the first Indio International Tamale Festival began.

This photo collection is of my recent trip to Palm Springs and the surrounding area.
