Thomas Carson is the founder and chief executive of Bear Flag Restaurant Group. The company has other restaurants located nearby in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, and Pacific Beach.
“Bear Flag Fish Co was founded in 2007. The creation of the company started with the love of the ocean and most of all the love of the ocean.”
Trivia: The Bear Flag restaurant name originates from the Bear Flag Revolt, a short war involving settlers and Mexican authorities in Monterey and Sonoma, California. In 1846, the Marine Corp [kohr] landed in the area to support the rebellion by the settlers against the Mexican military. A white flag with a grizzly bear was planted to declare independence from Mexico.
