Too hot, too cold? Install Outlet and Switch Sealers
According to experts at the U.S. Department of Energy, "Reducing the amount of air that leaks in and out of your home is a cost-effective way to cut heating and cooling costs, improve durability, increase comfort, and create a healthier indoor environment. Caulking and weatherstripping are two simple and effective air-sealing techniques that offer quick returns on investment, often one year or less. Caulk is generally used for cracks and openings between stationary house components such as around door and window frames, and weatherstripping is used to seal components that move, such as doors and operable windows." Sealing switches and outlets can improve the temperature of your home or office. These outlet and switch sealers from Frost King are easy to install. Admittedly, the sealers may seem as if they could have little impact on wasteful air leaks.
After installing a sealer for each switch and outlet, wasteful leaks will be stopped though. A good product for the summer and winter months. Sometimes big things come in small packages.
Made of a UL–listed fire retardant plastic foam, they are pre–stamped to fit precisely. Installed easily behind the faceplate, they are completely invisible."
