It is important in instances of criminal acts to be reasonable, responsible, and look at the large picture. Important questions to consider if you find yourself in a similar event.
What is proper to do in a situation like the one in the video?
How should you respond?
What should you say and not say?
Whom should you contact?
What other actions could have been taken?
Is there a lesson in all of this to learn?

Emotions run strong in public discourse. It is important for all parties to make good choices and follow the Golden Rule. Also important is paying attention to these stories and following them through the legal system. Getting all the facts and information is essential.
A few lessons to takeaway. 1. Immediately report and call for police security if you live in a town or work in a city where tensions are instigated to the point of violence. 2. Before joining in such criminal activity think about your purpose, what are you protesting? Why are you thinking about committing criminal acts? 3. Are you being manipulated or used in a political and/or social manner by community organizers that do not value your life? Rather, they seek to instigate unrest for their own political goals and gains. 4. Most importantly, seek personal health and wellness in your own mind, body, and soul. Create the best family for yourself and be a model citizen for your children and others.
Prior to unrest it is essential to ask local, state, and federal candidates, incumbents, and officials questions related to community unrest.
According to the Divided Community Project, Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, it is essential to ensure your representatives and civil servants know 1. to take initiative and plan, 2. to take assessment of community relations, 3. to assemble a proactive group of leaders and stakeholders, 4. develop an early warning system, 5. to problem solve small issues that can grow into larger issues, 6. to encourage civic engagement, 7. to develop specific plans, and 8. how to implement protocols.
Please call the police to report crimes. Also, please share these tips on your social networking sites. It is the right thing to do.
