The Cali Bandito Taco by The SlideBar and Gringo Bandito

The SlideBar is a celebration of food, music, and local rock and roll history. Sean Francis, owner of The Continental Room and the Sky Lounge, partnered with Jeremy Popoff, lead guitarist of Lit, to create SlideBar. The restaurant and music hot spot is near the Fullerton Transportation Center, a historic train depot dating back to 1923.
This local establishment makes a mark with an interior of collectible music items, including a drum set from No Doubt, a guitar from Sublime, and murals of Orange County stars The Righteous Brothers, The Offspring, and Gwen Stafani. Recently The SlideBar partnered with Gringo Bandito to develop the Cali Bandito Taco, marrying the ingredients of a California burrito with Gringo Bandito red sauce—in house made tortillas. Topped with sour cream and avocado, along with refried beans and chips. The Cali Bandito vegetarian version is made with portobello mushrooms, rather than carne asada. The carne asada and vegetarian versions of the Cali Bandito Taco hit the spot with a cold beer. Not to worry vegetarians and those that simply enjoy portobello mushrooms…you will not miss the meat.
