My Chat with Antonio Ballatore
Originally from New York City, Antonio Ballatore grew up with artist parents and collectors of antiques. This sparked Ballatore’s own interest in art and rare pieces. His entrance into design occurred when Ballartore ran into a friend that was creating sets for photographers. After gaining experience with set design Ballatore went on to win HGTV’s “Design Star”, have his own series, and found his own studio.
I had a dynamic opportunity to chat with Antonio Ballatore from HGTV. Antonio was a winner of the HGTV show Design Star. His road to stardom included a music career of his own, working construction jobs when he was not on stage, and designing sets for photographers, restaurants, and clubs.
I asked him about his favorite cookies. He said, "I like pignoli...it's an Italian Christmas cookie". For those wondering, pignoli are made with almond paste and pine nuts.
