Fish off the hook?: Steven Fish Superintendent
As citizens, parents, students, business owners, and more we all have many reasons to care about the actions of our superintendents. Some have excellent codes of conduct. While others hide their actions in the murky waters of bureaucracy and voter apathy.
The following is my article published in The Orange County Register.
Dr. Steven Fish ["Saddleback schools chief retiring," May 5] was overpaid, had a district car (pictured above-- fuel costs compensated), didn't prepare for financial difficulties, didn't cut waste, and now he's leaving us with a mess: students in even more overcrowded classes and without school supplies. Is he retiring or swimming away off the hook?
