“Reservoir at ARRIVE, in the Uptown Design District of Palm Springs, offers an approachable, vibrant take on modern Southern California cuisine with its unique Latin and Asian influences…Reservoir is easily identified by its distinctive butterfly roof and open-air setting framed by the towering San Jacinto mountain range.  The restaurant also features a poolside bar and outdoor lounge seating around two large fire pits.  Reservoir offers breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner 365 days a year, with an extensive list of craft cocktails, beers and wines.

ARRIVE in Palm Springs, the first property launched under the ARRIVE brand, is a 32-room boutique hotel located in the Uptown Design District of Palm Springs.  With a striking, landmark design that honors Palm Springs’ rich modernist legacy…ARRIVE Hotels and Restaurants (AHR) was founded by Chris Pardo and Peter Karpinski, who met while working at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.”

The restaurant and hotel includes a courtyard and pool for excellent people watching, large jacuzzi, cabanas, fire pits, bocce court, ping pong, coffee shop, and ice cream purveyor.  This is a desert playground.  The place to sit back, not to be rushed, relax, and brunch for a few hours.

Menu items include such dishes as tres leches pancakes, seasonal fruit, spicy tuna, Cobb salad, carne asada tacos, and Kobe beef sliders.

Several items on the menu stand out after a few visits.

Acai Bowl:  fresh berries, sliced banana, shaved coconut, and almond crunch.  (Delicious and light dish.  If hungry, order a side dish or something for substantial.)

2 Farm Eggs Any Style:  choose your side of spiral ham, apple turkey sausage, applewood bacon, with toast.

The All Day Burger:  lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, white cheddar, secret spread, and brioche bun.  Add a sunny side egg.  Choose fries or salad.

PSC (Palm Springs Club):  turkey, ham, red chile bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, herb spread, and local date walnut bread.  (A favorite or mine.)

Caipirinha [ˌkī-pə-ˈrēn-yə]:  a cocktail consisting of lime, sugar, and rum, of Brazilian origins.
